This is just a pic of me at the bar, but I wanted to express the sadness of how my chin is now slightly scarred.

Hello,
It’s been a long day. Classes early (at 9:00), but that means I have to be up for 7:15 to have a shower before breakfast, to be finished to leave for school by 8:20 to make it there for 9!
After class I went to the bank, to finally set up my bank account. No probs – except for the fact that I have to wait up to another 10 days to recieve my info and bank cards before I can put money into my account an access it. This is the best bank for international students though, so i’ll wait it out.
So, my first Rugby match ever was today (yikes!). It was pretty cool to watch it being played. We played an exhibition game, so it was just for fun – with three 20min periods. I watched the first two, and then played the last. Also, i’m a Forward, so i’m pretty much tackling and fighting for the ball the entire time (yes -me!) . Early on I got elbowed in a ruck (sort of a huddle to non-rugby players), I got elbowed in the eye, so its a little black. Anyways, on one of my tackles I got hit pretty hard and i’m pretty sure the guys head smashed my Jaw. I didn’t feel it, but a few minutes later I was told to wipe the blood from my chin. I finished the match – we won 14-13! But some of the older medics took a look at my chin and sent me to the Bristol Royal Infirmary (the hospital by the university). I waited for about 3hrs, with another guy from the team who also needed a looking at, and emerged with 4 stitches in my chin. I’ve never had stitches before, but it really felt like they were sewing up my skin like it were cloth (i had some local anesthetic, so it didn’t hurt). I ended up home by 9:00pm, after leaving my room at 12:00 pm, for the game. It was still fun, though, and i’m going to go again. This weekend, the rugby team – and the field hockey team (which i’m playing goal for) are going up to Birmingham, so i’ll be away Saturday.
